Why?

Why? are there so few fire types in pokemon Diamond and Pearl before you defeat the Elite Four.
I deliberately hunted around for someone to trade me a growlithe because my starter pokemon was Turtwig and the only fire type I could catch was a ponyta. Why is there such a lack of fire types in the game?
Anyone know?

Yeah, I agree with you too. Fire types are my favourite, and there are so little of them! Do you find this valuable?

I had to go to the Global Trade Station in Jubilife City and trade my level 90 Empoleon for a level 15 Growlithe. Ever Since I've been breeding eggs off the same growlithe and now have several Arcanines. I'm seriosly considering buying Pokemon Leafgreen and Firered just because its easier, but I have to get them from Ebay as they never got released in the Uk. I wonder if Nintendo realised by having a lack of fire types they were making it so much difficult for people in the Uk to play the games to their full potential.
How did you get over the lack of fire types?

I don't think that's a fair trade.

I don't know. I would say the easiest type to catch is water, since water is everywhere!

I know but I had a ditto from a friend and had got an egg from my empoleon so it wasnt too much of a loss, considering its imposible for me to get Firered in the UK. besides I really wanted the growlithe as i already had a gyarados as my #1 water type in my team.
